My client is seeking a qualified Capital works Engineer to join their state government body, WEST MELBOURNE.

Your New Role

• Manage and support capital works projects.
• Monitor and coordinate construction phase activities.
• Administer consultancy and construction contracts.
• Provide progress reporting to stakeholders.
• Supply technical analysis and data insights.
• Investigate and evaluate proposed projects, including economic assessments.
• Prepare designs for infrastructure replacement and enhancement projects.
• Collaborate with consultants on specialised investigations.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• Capability to deliver water sector capital projects (preferably with a civil engineering project management background).
• Effective communication skills, including high-quality written reports and presentations.
• Successful delivery of projects meeting agreed scope and standards, on time and within budget.
• Proven success in customer and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience delivering projects within agreed scope, standards, and budgets.
• Familiarity with engineering practice and infrastructure project delivery.
• Understanding of contract conditions for construction and design-and-construct contracts.
• Strategic planning abilities.
