Working with a large Federal Government Agency on a 12 month assignment based in Richmond or Geelong. The Capital Works Project Manager is an important team leadership role responsible for leading and managing detailed and sensitive property projects. This position is responsible for construction project management, including planning, design, approvals, procurement, delivery and handover, managing project budgets, reviewing and reporting on expenditure, undertaking procurement and contract management.
The role will work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday and will pay a daily rate between $600 and $750 plus super depending on experience.
Responsibilities are;
- Managing end to end construction project management including planning, design, approvals, procurement, delivery and handover
- Writing business cases, plans, executive briefs, project reports and status updates
- Manage project budgets, reviewing and reporting on expenditure
- Identifying and managing program governance including the management of risks, issues and benefits
- Establishing and managing procurement and contracts
To be considered for this role;
- Property captial projects experience with complex scope
- Relevant experience in project leadership and management roles
- Qualification in Project Management
- Deep knowledge of project management and constructions management systems and princples
- Experience managing major programme change and rollouts would be advantageous
