Cardiac Co-Ordinator Operating Theatre

The Opportunity

We now have an exceptional opportunity available for the right individual to join our Cardiothoracic Scrub Scout team as a Cardiac Co-ordinator.

Our candidate will oversee safe, quality care that meets current best practice standards. This role incorporates a clinical role and overseeing the Cardio Thoracic specialty at PPH.

You will have experience and skills in minimally invasive procedures and be a surgical support for our Cath Lab when required.

Providing an excellent service to our internal and external customers, you will liaise with reps and perfusionists.

We are an easy 20-30 minutes’ drive from the eastern suburbs and 50 minutes from metropolitan Melbourne via the East Link / Peninsula Link freeway.

Your skills and Experience

• Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Cardiothoracic Scrub Scout
• Experience in CABGS, MVR, AVR and minimally invasive cardiac surgery favourable
• Permanent Australian resident
• Post Graduate Critical Care qualifications
• Proven ability to establish effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders
• Evidence that demonstrates strategic thinking
• Ability to apply research findings to clinical practice
• Demonstrated personal commitment to ongoing learning
• Sound computer skills in MS Office suite including Excel

Requirements

• Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
