AddressWe are seeking highly motivated and confident Disability Support Workers to join our in home support team.
At Compassion Care Crew we build teams that work together to support NDIS participants within Supported Independent Living placements. In this role, you will work with NDIS participants in a hands on environment, assisting them with daily living tasks, maintaining their home and accessing the community.
We provide on the job training that is specifically tailored to our participants needs. With support of leading industry professionals you will be granted opportunities to obtain a wealth of knowledge and further your own professional development.
At Compassion Care Crew we follow the belief that the participants we assist live their best life when they are able to be as independent as possible. We focus on assisting our participants to live within their own environments while ensuring we work alongside them to build their capacity and maintain their independence. Our placements are in the home environment and we take the upmost care to ensure that our participants know they are safe and well supported.
Multiple positions are available - full-time, part-time and casual roles are all available, with flexible working hours designed to accommodate a variety of applicants.
Please note that this role, although casual, has the opportunity to be a set roster, with regular ongoing shifts. You stay within the same team ongoing (provided you are suitable for the placement) and are given the opportunity to build strong foundations with a regular team.
This role is in line with the SCHADS award rate - there is not a minimum amount of afternoon, day or passive overnights that must be completed, your roster is designed in line with your own strengths and abilities.
Requirements
The successful applicants require:
- Disability based qualifications or relevant long term experience in the industry
- Clear and concise knowledge of the written and spoken English language
- Current Australian Drivers Licence without limitations (Essential)
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Current NDIS worker screen check (or willingness to obtain)
- Completed online NDIS worker training modules
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Medication training (preferred)
- Available for immediate start
