Position Overview:
As a Cardiac Sonographer at Brisbane Cardiac and Specialist Centre,
you will play a key role utilizing state-of-the-art equipment to perform echocardiograms and contribute to the accurate diagnosis and treatment of cardiac conditions. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual who is passionate about cardiac imaging and dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform echocardiograms and vascular ultrasound procedures according to
established protocols.
2. Capture high-quality images and provide accurate and comprehensive diagnostic information to assist physicians in patient care.
3. Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the effective coordination of patient care.
4. Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment, adhering to quality control standards.
5. Educate patients on the procedures, addressing their concerns and providing a supportive environment.
6. Stay informed about advancements in cardiac imaging and contribute to the
implementation of best practices within the department.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
2. Minimum 3 years experience.
3. ASAR accredited qualification in medical ultrasound.
4. Proven experience as a Cardiac Sonographer, with proficiency in echocardiography Ultrasound (GE machine preferable).
5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate
effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
6. Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
7. Familiarity with relevant regulations and guidelines in cardiac sonography.
