Illaroo Co-operative Aboriginal Corporation are a not – for profit Indigenous organisation that provides a range of high quality Care Services to residential and community care across the Shoalhaven region for the elderly and people with disability.
ABOUT THE POSITION
As a compassionate Personal Care Worker, you will support our residents to improve their quality of life by assisting with day to day activities, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, dignity and independence is maintained.
To achieve this, you will be required to:
- Provide clinical care to residents in accordance with their individual care plan;
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as showering, dressing other personally orientated tasks;
- Accurately document residents care in accordance with care documentation and procedures;
- Engage in social activities and provide emotional support to residents.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Current Certificate III or IV in Aged Care;
- Well – developed verbal and written communication skills;
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the legislation governing aged care;
- Excellent organisation, communication and time management skills;
- Proof of COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations;
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a great team;
- Genuine compassion and enthusiasm to work in the role.
As part of the Recruitment and Selection process, you will be required to provide a National Criminal History Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
