Due to ongoing growth and increased staff needs in Port Augusta Region, we are seeking QualifiedHome & Community Aged Care Workers with outstanding customer service skills to support our aged care customers living independently in their own homes. Your ability to show enthusiasm, positivity, and empathy as you work with our customers and their families is essential to our service. To achieve exceptional outcomes for our customers you will need to be able to work autonomously be resourceful, have a natural ability to build strong relationships, as well as problem solve. Situations can change quickly, and no two days are the same.
Must have:
A current driver’s licence.
Your own registered, insured Vehicle.
A Roadworthy vehicle is mandatory for this role.
Some duties include but are not limited to:
- Personal care (Assisting with dressing, showering, and grooming)
- Medication assistance
- Planning and prepare meals.
- Transport customers on social outings & helping with shopping.
- Assist with light domestic duties (Vacuuming, washing floors, cleaning bathrooms
- Contribute to support plans to ensure they fit customers’ needs.
Skills & Experience
- A passion for looking after and caring for people.
- The willingness to learn new skills on the job and through training.
- Exceptional time management skills
- Certificate III in Individual Support/Community Services or Bachelor/Master of Social Work or equivalent
- Previous experience in aged care and or community care is advantageous but not essential.
