Care Worker

Bethanie, Western Australia’s leading not for profit aged care and retirement living provider, has been warmly welcoming and caring for seniors for over 65 years. We strive to lead the change in the way Australians think about ageing, recognising ‘old age’ as a positive force in society and giving a voice to those who have seen it all and live to tell the tale.We are currently seeking an experienced Care Worker to provide daily support to residents at Bethanie Subiaco is a 112 bed luxury facility that provides the full range of aged care services including dementia support, palliative care and respite services.Our Care Workers are an integral part of the care and support we provide to residents. Applicants with at least twelve months experience in a similar role will be highly regarded.This role is offered on a casual basis.The Role

• Assess care plans and ensure residents' needs are met
• Ensure services (including food, laundry, personal care, domestic and interest) are delivered in a timely and safe manner
• Deliver personal care tasks (including toileting and showering) with dignity and respect
• Ensure residents' rooms and the facility environment is maintained to an appropriate standard

About You

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing)
• Previous experience working in an aged care or hospital environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work well as a team, and also independently
• Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of The Bethanie Group
• Current Police Clearance, or willingness to apply for one
• Willingness to obtain National Police Clearance
• Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations 3x Covid and annual flu vaccination
