About the role
You will develop, deliver, and manage strategic and targeted career development learning activities, innovative programs and resources. In addition to working directly with students to enhance their employability skills to meet their careers aspirations, you will work closely with staff across the university to ensure students have the skills and abilities to undertake work placements and work experience.
You will:
develop, deliver and evaluate innovative career development programs, seminars, resources and events;
provide expert individual advice and assistance to students, prospective students, and graduates on career related issues;
project manage career development learning and professional skills programs; and
advocate and enable academic staff to embed career development learning into the curriculum.
About you
You will have demonstrated experience in the Education and Training sector providing individual and group careers counselling to facilitate the setting and achievement of career goals. In addition, you will have demonstrated experience providing employment and careers related advice, services and events, including supporting students to better understand themselves, their values and career choices.
You will possess demonstrated:
commitment to deliver a quality student experience;
ability to operate and collaborate as part of a team as well as the ability to establish collaborative and effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders;
experience in public speaking and presenting to people from diverse backgrounds; and
ability to exercise initiative, prioritise and solve complex problems.
