About the Role
We make Lives Better and Happier Aging at the heart of what we do- enabling members of our aged and disabled community to live a fulfilling life at home as life at home as long as possible, doing what they love to do.
We provide around the clock care, so visits may be scheduled early morning, afternoon, evening or overnight to meet our client's needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide a premium care experience to our clients that is genuine, compassionate and personalised.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living including personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, transport and companionship.
- Deliver care in accordance with the client's care plan that has been developed by the Care designer (Registered Nurse)
- Meet the safety needs of the client and use equipment safely and properly.
- Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly.

Skills
Experience in High care would be an advantage, but Nurse Next Door will support your learning to ensure you are happy and confident in your work place.
- Passionate about making a difference.

- A self-led leader with the ability to take responsibility for their own behavior and success.
- Coachable
- previous experience in high needs disability, PEG feeding would be an asset.
- Must be able to work in a small, dedicated team for a client with multiple high care needs.
- Must be able to speak and write in English.
- Able to identify and report client care concerns to the care designer when needed.
- Reliable and be able to get to and from the client's homes.
- Drivers with their own vehicle is always an asset.
Mandatory Requirements
- AHPRA registration
OR
- Enrolled or completed a minimum of Cert III in either Disability, Aged care or Individual support.
- National Police Check (Aged care/Vulnerable Persons Sector)
- Working with Children Check
- NDIS Worker Module Completion
- NDIS Worker Screener Clearance
- Yellow/Blue card
- Current First Aid/CPR
