AIRWAY GSA are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and skilled Cargo Services officer to join our driven and experienced company. This position is located at our Melbourne Airport office. The successful applicant will receive in-house training and mentoring to develop the skills required to successfully undertake tasks across each of the airlines we handle.

The Company
GSA Cargo Services was established in 2001 to assist international airlines to improve their air cargo sales and marketing activities, increase cargo uplift and establish a strong market share in Australia and New Zealand. In May 2021, GSA Cargo Services were acquired by AIRWAY GSA Pty Ltd offering more diversification and opportunities for our Airlines and staff across the board.
With offices in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland, AIRWAY GSA is ideally positioned to provide our customer airlines with a cost-effective sales focus. Currently, AIRWAY GSA undertakes the cargo sales and marketing activities for 7 international airlines throughout Australia and New Zealand.
The Role
- Thrive in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same, ensuring the seamless transportation of cargo
- Complete flight planning and operational requirements across our partner airlines.
- Facilitate the smooth and efficient movement of goods, ensuring compliance and providing excellent customer service throughout the whole process
- Assist with the cargo sales and marketing activities of our partner airlines
- Seamlessly process payments, craft quotations, and ensure timely distribution of month-end statements.
- Maximise tonnage and revenue per flight
- Become a key player in the thrilling world of logistics, where your skills and dedication make a tangible impact on global trade.
About You
The right applicant will become a functioning member of our small GSA team, while also having understanding and capability to work independently. Sound computer skills and attention to detail are essential.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 2 years airline industry experience (preferred but not essential)
- Confident learning new computer systems and internal procedures
- Be an excellent team player and be able to work effectively under pressure
- Display excellent communication skills, ability to converse with people of all levels and is well organised, efficient and effective
