About the RTO
Skills Australia Institute (SAI) is a CRICOS Registered Training Organization. We have been providing training to International students for over 6 Years.
We deliver courses in the areas of Hospitality, Early Childhood Education, Business, ICT Networking, Automotive, Carpentry, Bricklaying & Tiling. We have 3 campuses, 2 based in Perth and 1 in Adelaide.
The Opportunity
Due to our ongoing growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Trainer & Assessor – Carpentry to join our friendly team at our East Cannington campus.
The ideal candidate will be supporting the Training and Assessment of Carpentry on a full-time /part-time basis. We have fully equipped Carpentry workshop for the practical's.
The main responsibilities of this role are as follows:
• Training and Assessing the students of Certificate III
• Arranging and doing the WBT visits.
• Using our LMS platform to deliver digital content while embedding your own unique/industry-relevant experiences to enrich the learning environment.
• Marking students assessments and providing quality feedback.
• Complying with industry-specific legislations and the requirements of the VET Quality Framework applicable to the qualification being delivered.
• Accurately recording, tracking, and reporting students’ attendance, results, and unit outcomes.
*Each study term consists 10 weeks of study and 3 weeks of term break.
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:
• TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
• Must have relevant qualifications: Certificate III in Carpentry
• Current industry skills/experience in relevant field
• Ability to follow RTO policies & procedures
• Excellent computer literacy
• Highly organized and strong time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
