CatholicCare Tasmania has a long-term commitment to respond to Family Violence in Tasmania and we are looking for an equally committed person to join our Safe Choices Team in Tasmania in the position of Disability Case Worker.
CatholicCare Tasmania is the primary social services agency of the Catholic Church across Tasmania. We have 60 years’ experience delivering a wide range of services and support to improve individual, family and community wellbeing. Our services are available to people of all backgrounds, religious beliefs and circumstances, and focus in particular on children, young people and families.
We employ more than 450 staff across the state and offer a variety of programs and projects across the key areas of Children, Family, Housing, Multicultural Services, Counselling and Emergency Relief.

About the Role:
The role will provide case work including case planning, outreach, advocacy and referrals to those Safe Choices disability clients experiencing family violence who may require on-going support. This role will report directly to the regional Team Leader and Program Manager of Safe Choices and work alongside the Safe Choices Intake and Assessment Worker and Family Violence Local Support Co-ordination Service.
About You:
Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, or other relevant discipline with experience in responding to Family Violence
Demonstrated high level skills, knowledge and expertise appropriate to the provision of support to all people experiencing Domestic and Family Violence.
Hold a current Working with Vulnerable Persons Registration, satisfactory national police check, and a current driver’s licence
