We are seeking an all-rounder to work in a diverse role throughout multiple administrative departments within the hospital on a casual basis with the ability to pick up additional annual and sick leave cover when and if required, the ideal candidate will be flexible and proactive, display excellent communication and customer service, be motivated, reliable, hardworking and diligent in contributing towards a team environment.
Essential experience:- Administrative experience within a health care/medical setting
- Computer knowledge with Excel/Office/Outlook
- (Preferred) Experience with WEBPASS, Blue Chip and Medical Director
- Processing of Medicare/DVA billing and knowledge
- Excellent communication & customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team
- Display and mentor professional behaviour
- High level organisational skills
- The ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment is a must
- Positive attitude and caring approach
- Ability to remain calm whilst working under pressure
- The administrator is responsible for ensuring that patient admissions are processed in a timely fashion whilst providing excellent customer service
- Ensuring doctors secretarial requests are met
- Delivering charts within a timely manner for doctor appointments
- Admitting and discharging patients within our outpatient clinic
- Manning the nursing stations for all clerical and admin duties
- Answering the hospital switchboard & directing calls
- Being sensitive with patient confidentiality and individual patient situations
- Ensuring a high standard of care is provided to patients and staff
