Distillery Road Market is looking for motivated, energetic and engaging Chefs and Venue Attendants to join our ever-growing team across a variety of our onsite venues.
Situated half-way between the Gold Coast and Brisbane, Distillery Road Market is the region’s newest food and entertainment hub, inspired by the world’s best markets, boasting events and live entertainment, our very own craft brewery and beer garden.
About the roles:
Venue Attendants
Venue Attendants are responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and meals across a variety of food venues. These include American low and slow bbq, Mexican taqueria, pizza, tapas and more.
This is a Casual role working 15 to 30 hours per/week, trading from Thursday to Sunday.
Duties include working across different food venues situated under the one roof to:
- Prepare menu items ensuring the high-quality delivery of all food items to customers
- Produce menu items in cooperation with all team members
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
- Operate POS
- Maintain cleanliness throughout our venues
- Set up and stocking of food preparation stations
Working as part of the Food and Beverage Department, new team members will be joining a team that works for the collective. Additional duties may include assisting bar venues as necessary.

Required skills, attributes and experience:
- A customer focused attitude with a willingness to learn
- Experience in the hospitality industry is advantageous
- I’m Alert in Food Safety Training Certificate, or willingness to obtain
- RSA, or a willingness to obtain
- A friendly and dedicated team player with great communication skills
- Ability to work in a productive and fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing environments and work across multiple venues
Casual Chefs
The role is 25 to 35 hours per week, operating from Monday to Sunday across a variety of venues. Rosters shifts include everything from functions, breakfast, lunch, and dinner service.
Casual chefs are responsible for preparing and delivering exceptional food across the many new and existing venues here at DRM. This includes:
- Preparing food for service
- Cooking menu items in cooperation with kitchen staff
- Ensuring food is delivered to a high standard of quality and in timely fashion
Required attributes, skills and experience:
- Certificate III in commercial cookery qualification
- A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role
- A dedicated team player with great communication skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing environments and work across our multiple venues
- Proactive and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
