About The RoleCasual Chef 10-40 hours per week.
Immediate start with 20 plus hours.
Positions are based in private homes. You will be responsible for preparing high quality wholesome meals. Included in this role is budgeting, shopping, and great communication.
This role would suit an empathetic family orientated Chef looking for a change of pace. The hours are friendly, rarely nights (up to 6pm), and rarely a weekend. Give back to the community and work in a sector that needs good chefs. If you don't want to work week ends or nights you don't have to.
If you are not a qualified Chef but have excellent food knowledge and a proven track record of 10 years commercial experience in a variety of settings, including contract catering, private cheffing, or decent restaurants you are encouraged to apply.
You Will Need- Your own reliable clean car, insured, driver license
- Own knives and chefs uniform
- Reliable internet, phone camera, email, computer, and printer
- Communication - Excellent verbal, digital, and written English
- Professional written references
- Permanent residency
Required Qualifications- Trade Qualified Chef preferred (International qualification welcome)
- Experience in similar role working for disability support company, catering, or private chef highly regarded
- Experience working in disability sector highly regarded
- Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene
- Have a genuine passion for food, and enthusiasm to help people
- Drivers licence
- National police check
- Food handlers certificate
- Blue card
- First aid cert
- NDIS modules
