The Role
Reporting into the Executive Chef, you will be an integral part of our kitchen team and responsible for a busy environment whilst ensuring the preparation, quality and delivery of the very best of cuisine in Newcastle.

This position is responsible for maintaining the highest standards whilst ensuring we maintain our values in the kitchen around sustainability, service and luxury.  By being aware and investing in new and local produce, modern recipes and food innovation - this position has the ability to grown and flourish for those seeking career responsibility.

Your responsibilities include:
• Drive guest satisfaction across Ms. Mary Café, In Room Dinning, Events,  Roundhouse Restaurant, and Romberg's Bar by delivering an exceptional food products.
• Foster a culture of innovation and breaking the norm.
• Provide hands-on support to our Commis and Apprentice Chefs across all service areas and shifts.
• Collaborate closely with the F&B Service team.
• Effectively communicate and coordinate with all departments of the hotel.
• Be proactive in all issues of workplace health and safety. 
• Articulate ideas the creation of seasonal and promotional menus and events packages.
• Support the effective procurement, production, preparation and presentation of all food.

Your many talents will include:• A Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience 
• Proven and relevant experience in a busy restaurant 
• Respectful and engaging communication skills
• Super cool nature under pressure
• An ambition and a passion for all things food
