About This Opportunity

We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Casual Disability Support Workers. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing assistance and support to individuals with disabilities in their daily lives. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Supporting clients with household chores and community activities.
• Following individual care plans and ensuring the safety and well-being of clients at all times.
• Accompanying clients to appointments and outings.
• Provide support in consideration of the participant’s identified goals and enhance their opportunity for independence, inclusion and making informed choices.
• Provide support in line with recommended practice and protocols to support the safety, privacy and dignity of the individual.
• Abide by the company Code of Conduct as well as reporting practices and procedure, including maintaining appropriate client records.
• Work with clients, significant others and other stakeholders in a collaborative and supportive manner.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in Disability Support or a related field is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
• Compassionate and empathetic attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work as part of a support team as well as independently, based on the service being provided.
• A genuine passion for working with and enhancing the lives of people living with disability within company guidelines and NDIS practice standards
• Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and evenings.
• Completion of all relevant NDIS training, certifications and background checks.
