Core Workplace Objectives:
- Liaising with relevant teaching colleague(s) to discuss daily plans/student support needs.
- Supporting students engagement in learning, including tailoring learning resources and/or learning adjustments to suit the ability/interest/needs of individual students, as directed.
- Assisting with supervision of students in the classroom.
Workplace Tasking & Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining up-to-date records of observations/concerns/interventions/incidents in the relevant file for each student, including
- Monitoring progress against and supporting achievement of Individual Learning Plan goals for each student
- Recording evidence of support and adjustments, as specified in Individual Learning Plan, for each student
- Supporting students in meeting school expectations.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for assisting students with positive school engagement
- Recognise and respond appropriately when a student exhibits disengaged and/or dysregulated behaviours (initiate engagement with / support of students)
- Demonstrate flexibility in daily practices
- Demonstrate appropriate Information and Communication Technology skills, including proficient use of the Microsoft suite, school network and internet
For this position with our company, applicants must be willing and able to provide:
- Annual National Police Check issued in the 2 weeks prior to starting.
- Working with Children Check for the relevant state
Remuneration:
- $29.31 per hour + casual loading and superannuation.
