CNC setters, Machine operators and Machinist roles - afternoon shift

Preformed Line Products (Australia) Pty Ltd is the Australian subsidiary of PLP. We have been supplying quality products to the power utility, telecommunication, cable television and data network industries as well as specialised niche markets since we began operating in Australia in 1961. 

The business is undergoing significant growth and currently has a number of positions available (CNC setters, Machine operators and Machinist) on our afternoon shift with loading (2:30-11:00pm Mon-Thu & 12-6pm Fri).

• To Manufacture products in accordance with documentation supplied, meet the required specifications and ensure all operations are carried out in the time specified within the Job traveller using safe practices
• Be safety aware, abide by the company’s safety rules and policies and report all hazards approved paperwork
• Maintenance of the machinery and cleanliness of the work station part of the job 

• Minimum 2 years proven work experience in machine operation, or in setting and operating a CNC Lathe & Mill within a manufacturing environment
• A recognized Trade qualification in Machining/ CNC (if applicable)
• A logical and systematic approach to work;
• The ability to solve problems and make decisions, as well as think laterally and offer creative solutions
• Capable to read engineering drawings;
• Forklift license highly regarded;
• Must be able to read and write English
