AddressWe are on the hunt for an experienced Production Worker / Leading Hand to join our client, a well-known global leader in pharmaceutical products manufacturing and distribution, located in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne.
In this position, you will primarily be responsible for assisting the production leadership team with the efficient running of the Packing department. This is a hands-on role involving planning, coordination, and completion of work orders, while actively working with the packing team on the line. Other responsibilities include:
- Pack work orders accurately and on time according to weekly plans.
- Support supervisor and team leaders with daily production tasks.
- Identify and resolve packing machinery breakdowns.
- Aid in maintaining efficiency across all machinery through training and projects.
- Manage resources, workflow, and process issues efficiently.
- Document and update Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs).
- Assist in training staff on GMP, safety, and job-related skills.
- Perform SAP transactions for product manufacturing and distribution.
- Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
To be successful in this role you will be expected to have:
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment, as a Production Assistant / Packer / Process Worker / Machine Operator or similar, preferably within the Pharmaceutical or Food manufacturing industry.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and personal presentation.
- Good computer skills, particularly working with MS Office suite.
- Ability to work as an integral part of a team, and motivation to learn and develop professionally.
- A strong commitment to WHS
