If you’re looking for work, life, balance then this could be a great opportunity to join our team. We are looking for experienced Medical Receptionists to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidates will be covering annual, sick, maternity and any ‘ad-hoc’ leave requirements the business may have.
Location: Multiple locations in the southern suburbs of Perth
We currently have general practices in the following areas;
- Riverton Medical Centre; and
- Harrisdale Medical Centre

A strong team of well qualified GPs, Nurses and Allied Health staff who strive to provide a high standard of medical care. With multiple locations, we’re committed to making a positive impact on the lives of our patients.
Requirements:
- Vehicle and valid driver's license are essential with the ability to travel
- Availability on weekdays for shifts between 7:00am - 9:00pm
- Saturday morning shifts also available
- Must be available for at least 3 full days per week
- Duties include but are not limited to:
- Greet patients with a warm and welcoming attitude
- Answer phone calls and address inquiries professionally
- Schedule and confirm appointments efficiently
- Maintaining a clean reception and waiting area
- Processing Medicare/Private Billings and Payments (mixed billing)
- Allied Health bookings and payments
- Faxing, scanning, filing, and mailing
- Monitoring and ordering stationery and office supplies to maintain a working supply at all times
- Always maintain confidentiality with patients' personal information
- Maintaining information confidentiality at all times
- Manage patient records and update information accurately
- Maintain operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes
- Online Claiming
- Day-to-day banking, maintaining practice financial records and reconciling
The successful applicant will:
- Use or knowledge of Best Practice Software is preferred, or alternative Medical software an advantage
- Have access to their own reliable transport
- Have full working rights in Australia
- Experience in a General Practice setting is desirable
- Willing to travel
- Be computer-literate
- Undergoing any mandatory training as set out by employer
- Be friendly, enthusiastic and patient-focused in their approach as the face of the medical centre
- Willing to go above and beyond to complete your tasks at hand
- Organisation is essential
- Possess great attention to detail
- Work collaboratively in a team environment to ensure the smooth running of the practice
- Possess the ability to multi-task
