Closing date: 22 April 2024What you'll be doingProviding a safe and secure environment for staff, patients and visitors, and assisting clinical staff in the care and comfort of patientsAll NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA) approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine (except for the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine, which is approved by the TGA as a single dose primary course).New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health or provide an Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) immunisation history statement certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW. A NSW Health agency may require further information about the medical contraindication (including but not limited to an Immunisation Medical Exemption form – IM011 form).Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.Salary will be accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s. These awards are available at .AN ELIGIBILITY LIST FROM THIS RECRUITMENT ACTIVITY MAY BE CREATED FOR FUTURE VACANCIES

  • Must hold a current Class 1A Security Licence with the NSW Security Licensing & Enforcement Directorate (SLED), current Senior First Aid Certificate and current valid drivers licence. MNCLHD Master Licence 410572298.
  • Demonstrated skills to manage aggressive incidents and / or challenging behaviours and respond to duress situations.
  • Demonstrated flexibility in taking directions from supervisors and ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, with all levels of staff, as well as patients/clients and members of the public.
  • Demonstrated understanding and ability to comply with environmental cleaning and knowledge of work health and safety principles, including safe manual handling and infection control.
  • Participation in a 7 day rotating roster that includes weekends, public and school holidays, including morning, afternoon and night shifts.
  • Understanding and willingness to work in a morgue environment
