KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Maintenance Assistant is responsible in assisting the Maintenance Manager in the day-to-day general maintenance of all apartments, ensuring the upkeep of the rooms and maintaining them to a 4-star Seashells standard.
You will be punctual, reliable and well presented. You will perform any reasonable task within the general parameters of this role as directed by Head of Housekeeping / Property Manager.
EXPECTATION OF DUTIES
Check and undertake all maintenance requirements daily in apartments prior to guest arrivals
Follow and maintain all aspects of property OH&S
Assist Housekeeping and Front office where required.
Perform general apartment maintenance duties, including by not limited to, painting, cleaning, changing light bulbs, repairing fixtures and fittings, tuning televisions.
Maintenance duties on weekends and public holidays if required.
Main shifts will be from Wed-Sat 3-4 days per week with occasionally helping out our Fremantle property and assist in other locations.
Operate, maintain and repair equipment, tools and vehicles.
Repair/replace door locks, knobs, general carpentry or cabinet work as required.
Order and receive stock and other requisitions.
Pick up and deliver furniture and other stock.
Maintain spreadsheets and Word documents as necessary.
Any other associated duties as directed by Property Manager, Head of Housekeeping.
Maintenance emergency duties on nights, weekends and public holidays should this be required.
