Support at Home Occupational Therapy is a SA owned and operated family business, providing in-home OT assessment and intervention services to older adults on home care packages across all areas of Adelaide.
To support business growth, Support at Home OT are looking for two friendly and adaptable Occupational Therapists with experience in community aged care to join our small team of Occupational Therapists.
We currently have two OT positions available, which can be offered on either a Casual or Contractor basis:
- The first role would be suited to an OT who lives in the Murray Bridge or Mount Barker region who can support clients in all surrounding areas.
- The second role would be suited someone who lives in Adelaide's outer Southern suburbs who can support clients living in Southern suburbs such as Morphett Vale, Reynella, Seaford etc.
These roles offer a great opportunity for a skilled OT that is looking to take the next step in their career or looking for more work/life balance. The roles would suit someone who wants to design their working week to compliment family and other commitments.
The successful candidates can choose their desired volume of work and geographical areas that they wish to cover. Support at Home OT sends the referrals and the OT can decide which referrals they would like to accept.
Whilst we service all parts of metropolitan Adelaide, there is also opportunity for work in regional SA if this is of interest.
Clinical support and resources are available as required.
All report writing is undertaken on a work from home basis.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the scheduling of client appointments following receipt of new referrals.
- Conduct comprehensive in-home assessments to evaluate clients' functional abilities in order to develop tailored recommendations to improve clients' functional abilities and independence.
- Evaluate home environments for safety hazards and make recommendations to enhance clients' safety and independence.
- Provide education to clients and their families regarding adaptive strategies and assistive devices and empower clients to participate actively in their own care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments and interventions.
- Provide comprehensive assessment reports together with corresponding equipment and home modification quotes following completion of assessments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy with a minimum of five years' practical experience, preferably in a home-based setting.
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Valid Police Clearance/Criminal History Check.
- Up to date COVID and flu vaccinations.
Requirements:
- Own vehicle and valid driver's licence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, client-centred care in a timely manner.
Remuneration Details:
Casual:
- Hourly Rate: $60 per hour
- Paid travel time and mileage between clients
Contractor:
- Hourly Rate: $90 per hour
