We are seeking a dynamic and motivated casualPayroll Specialist to join our Finance and HR team. In this role you will be responsible for processing fortnightly and monthly payroll (300 employees) including payroll reconciliations, reporting, ongoing governance, and compliance related tasks.
Candidate profile:
The successful applicant must have proven experience in a similar Payroll Manager / Specialist position along with the following attributes:
- Experience in standalone end to end payroll processing and administration (related monthly reporting processes)
- Experience in preparing and submitting payroll-related tax lodgements, superannuation contributions, work cover payments and other statutory obligations
- Competency in developing and generating periodic spreadsheets and ad hoc reports as needed
- Experience with Aurion (highly desirable) or competent utilisation of other payroll software
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of the education sector and its operation an advantage but not essential
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to think logically and laterally
- Well organised, positive, pro-active, and able to work in a team environment
- Must hold a current Working with Children Check or be willing to obtain
- National Police History Check (obtained within the last 6 months)
