Recruiting for a Casual Registered Nurse in Gympie We are currently looking for a community based Registered Nurse to join our Gympie team. For over 15 years, we have been supporting older people, and people living with disability, to live independently in their own homes and stay connected to their local community. Duties and responsibilities may include: Working with or under the guidance of medical practitioners and Allied Health professionals Medication Administration and Complex Clinical Care e. palliative care, bowel care/suppositories, catheter care, stoma care, oxygen and more Undertaking nursing assessments and developing plan of care, in liaison with the individual customer’s relatives/cares. Monitoring and communicating on the customer’s wellbeing and reporting on progress of customers Ensuring that all services are provided in a caring and respectful way in accordance with Just Better Care’s policy and procedures, legislative requirements and program specific guidelines (i.e. DVA Community Nursing) Providing training, coaching and guidance to Community Support Professionals, Enrolled Nurses and Support Staff/Case Managers as required Conducting skills assessments of Community Support Professionals performing complex care services as required Demonstrating a commitment to best practice and evidence of continued professional development Participating in staff meetings and attending training opportunities when required What you will need: Bachelor of Nursing (Mandatory) AHPRA Registration (Mandatory) Current CPR / First Aid Certificate Current and satisfactory NDIS Workers Screening Card & Blue Card Current Australian Driver’s Licence Reliable, registered and insured vehicle (comprehensive insurance is preferred) Smartphone with internet access Proof of Vaccination (where relevant) i.e. COVID-19 vaccination certificate Ability to work from home Desirable: Previous experience in the community care or health/aged care sector Understanding of DVA Community Nursing guidelines or previous community nursing experience Cert IV in Workplace Training & Assessment Next steps: If you would like to join our growing team and become part of our friendly, professional network please apply today by clicking on “Apply”.
