The Role
We are seeking a reliable casual Storeperson / retail assistant to join our dynamic team.
Reporting to the Hospitality Store Manager, the scope of this role is to work as a part of our dynamic team to assist with the efficient running of the store ensuring customers receive an excellent level of service and the store meets its KPI’s.
Key Tasks:
- Picking and packing stock
- Receiving and dispatching of stock
- Loading delivery vans and unloading stock from trucks and import containers
- Sorting and organising warehouse stocks and other labour tasks as directed
- Welcoming customers to the Hospitality Store and offering assistance and advice on products.
- Cash handling, EFT, quoting
- Stock management - Unpacking stock from deliveries into the warehouse and from the warehouse into the store shelves which requires a good level of fitness and an ability to lift boxes
- Bar coding, correct placement in store, pricing, picking orders, packaging orders, arranging pick-ups and deliveries etc.
- Cleaning shelves, merchandising and product layouts
- Assisting with the cyclic stock take process
- Preparation of quotes and input of orders
- Invoicing, packing and despatching of customer orders ready for pickup and delivery
- Checking orders for despatch to customers using Couriers
- Liaison with warehouse, purchasing, customer service, account managers
Essential requirements:
- Previous experience in a busy warehouse or retail environment assisting customers and maintaining stock requirements.
- Physically able to undertake the role and demonstrate safe manual handling skills
- Team Player and a ‘Can do’ attitude
- Reliable - punctual and dependable
- Customer Service orientated
- Problem solving skills and initiative
Desirable requirements:
- Experience using Pronto POS software
- Forklift Licence
