Overview:Casual VE Sessional Teacher – Visual Arts (Printmaking)
  • Casual Sessional, commencing July 2024
  • Teaching within the Creative Industries Cluster
  • Flexible hours per week, based at the Melbourne CBD Campus (Cardigan St.)

The College of VE is delivering impact through transformation that creates long-term change.About YouAs a Casual Sessional within Vocational Education, you will be mainly responsible for the delivery of course material, assessing students and the supervision of students enrolled in selected courses within the program.You will participate in the program’s continuing review of course content and development, delivery, teaching methods (including on-line delivery methods) and methods of students’ assessment. Your performance will be underpinned by participation in relevant activities which ensure your vocational competence meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed.We are looking for sessional teachers to assist in subjects in covering Film / TV production and Vision MixingKey Selection Criteria
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills relevant to teaching environments.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in competency-based assessment.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute effectively as a constructive and proactive member of a team.
Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Expertise in Etching, Aquatint, Relief printing (Lino & Woodblock - including reduction printmaking), Monotype, Mono Prints (including Trace, Additive and Subtractive Monotypes) and Pochoir (Stencilling).
  • Proficiency in Screen-printing, including photographic techniques.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Intaglio techniques.
  • Experience in WH&S protocols in Printmaking Studios.
  • Previous teaching experience in the VE sector
Our ideal candidate will have:
  • A qualification in the TAE40116 – Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its equivalent; or higher-level qualification in adult education
  • Current industry experience within printmaking
