We are seeking a range of skilled, committed and enthusiastic staff of all ages to join our casual labour pool for a range of upcoming events across Victoria.
We seek people with any of the following skills and the desire to undertake training to improve their skill base.
- Bar & Hospitality Staff
- Hospitality wait staff
- Football Gate Ticket sellers (starting early August till mid September)
- General Customer Service Staff
- Cleaning Staff
All prospective staff must be team players and display exceptional presentation and customer service skills.
Applications must include a cover letter outlining current skills - formal resume not required.
NOTE:- We are happy to provide on the job training to bring staff up to speed. All staff must have, or be willing to obtain Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate
We see many people being suited to the roles available with customer service skills and a friendly and helpful manner the most important characteristics we are seeking. All roles will be fully supervised during the initial period with many of the duties limited to basic customer service, clearing plates, keeping food service areas tidy and making sure that the clients at each raceday enjoy themselves and want to return again soon. Most of the roles will be in bar sales or hospitality marquee service staff, however we do have some fine dining table service opportunities.
We aim to service numerous events, however one of our major customers will be various Country Racing Clubs feature event days.
Country Racing pride themselves on being able to deliver "A Great Day Out" we see our role as working with the event organisers to make sure that their promise is delivered. We've been doing this for over 17 years!
In most cases car pooling will be available and encouraged, while we use small buses from time to time.

The immediate opportunities we have in the Ballarat Zone include 3 days work at Swan Hill (Accommodation provided) Fri 7 - Sun 9 June before we gear up for Football Finals then into racing events at locations across the Wimmera etc including Dunkeld Races on Sat 16 Nov when we need around 60 staff.
At this stage, most of the employment opportunities will be located at various locations including Bendigo, Ballarat, Swan Hill, Geelong, Seymour, Echuca, Wangaratta, Benalla, Tatura, Kilmore, St Arnaud, Ararat, Murtoa, Stawell, Warracknabeal, Dunkeld, Manangatang & Mt Wycheproof. - most days will be on Saturday or Sunday and offer around 6 - 9 hours work making this an ideal opportunity for a person with a full time job looking to earn some extra money!
