Your New Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Category Lead to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the development and execution of category strategies, as well as supporting the procurement team. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that category plans are aligned with business objectives and customer needs. This position is an initial 3-month temporary assignment, with the potential for permanency or extension after that.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and support to ensure that category strategies are executed effectively.
- Develop and implement category strategies that are aligned with business objectives and customer needs.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that category plans are integrated with other business functions.
- Development of evaluation criteria
- Provide leadership in the procurement teams' involvement in RFx events
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure that we have access to the best products and services.
- Monitor category performance and develop action plans to address any issues or opportunities.
- Development of negotiation strategies and lead commercial negotiations
- Support stakeholders in contract and supplier management
About You:
- Proven experience in leading complex and high-risk sourcing strategies
- Extensive experience in strategic sourcing and category management
- People management skills
- Demonstrates a high-performance culture mindset
- Confidence in working with C Suite stakeholders
