Description:
The Australia team is seeking to add a Category Manager to join our team and develop the Digital Software and Video games business. You will lay the foundations for seamless flow of digital content throughout the digital supply chain from content providers to end consumers and manage the business.
What's involved in this role? It's fair to say that no two days are alike - so this position suits someone who enjoys variety and problem-solving. You'll be working to:
- Strategically manage your category to reach objectives, owning your business area and brands
- Develop trust-based relationships with leading suppliers that result in a great shopping experience for customers
- Manage vendor relationships - manage supplier/partner, manage day-to-day relationships, and negotiate and secure contracts and funding
- Become an expert on your category with the aim of driving business improvements, innovation, and scale within your category and across the Retail business
- Act as the primary conduit for digital content and as the key operational interface with content providers
- Engage with content providers to ensure their content goes into saleable distribution in a timely and high quality manner
- Lead and manage day-to-day program requirements with operations teams and program and product managers
- Report on key metrics and performance indicators to measure overall category performance and provide foundation for continuous improvement

Our team operates out of our fabulous CBD office (conveniently located near many transportation options), and from home (during COVID-19) leveraging technology.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of with Excel experience
- 5+ years of retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with negotiations and delivering results experience
- Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of professional or military experience
- Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience managing large data sets and utilizing to drive performance and process improvements
- Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development
