Description
This hands on role will see you oversee a number of key activities including the following;
- End to end management of a range of sourcing and contracts work
- Identify and implement process improvement within the specific categories and the broader procurement function
- Manage stakeholder relationships
- Implement supplier agreements and various procurement strategies designed to deliver improved service levels and cost savings across the group
- Lead the full source to contract activities including tenders, negotiations, evaluation, award and post award activities including claims and variations
- Have an input into the procurement change management program through execution of ideas and previous experience
Profile
The successful candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment across multiple packages with the ability to think on your feet and adapt to an environment of change.
- You will be experienced in end to end contracting and procurement, particularly within major projects or category management
- Knowledge and experience developing and managing procurement and contract strategies
- You will have a strategic and commercial mindset with the ability to engage with multiple stakeholders at different levels
- Candidates with a mining operations background will be looked upon favourably though I'd encourage you to apply if you come from a projects background also
- Candidates who have exposure to categories such as civil works, construction, minor works, capital projects and engineering will also be looked upon favourably
- You will have a strong attention to detail while being able to work through ambiguity and often without structure
- Candidates who are self-driven and can take initiative to deliver innovative approaches to your own portfolio as well as the wider team will succeed in this role
