ABOUT PERTH OFFICE
South32’s corporate office is based in the heart of Perth’s CBD. The corporate office houses key functions including HR, Finance, Corporate Development, Investor Relations, Group Risk and Technical. Our office is conveniently located a 5-minute walk from the Perth Underground Train Station.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is a permanent position on a Monday-to-Friday basis. This role will be based at our head office in Perth.
As Principal of Technology & Corporate Services, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and execute Technology and Professional ServicesCategory Management activities in line with category and sourcing plans to increase productivity, optimise costs, manage risks and unlock organisational value safely and sustainably.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Leading commercial contract negotiations with vendors/suppliers for strategic product and services contracts.
- Be responsible for the execution of initiatives in key Technology and Professional Services categories
- Contribute to an inclusive culture that values strategic thinking and innovation
- Identify opportunities to optimise spend and minimise supply risk across the Technology and Professional Services categories & ensuring appropriate SLA’s and contract governance requirements are included in Tier 1 and 2 contracts as needed.
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Several years’ experience in a similar role
- The ability to read, understand, articulately write and negotiate win/win contracts
- Demonstrated understanding of technology fundamentals including Cloud, SaaS, Software licensing models, Hardware maintenance and Telecommunications
- Demonstrated understanding of IP, Data Protection, Cyber, Privacy and Liability legislative requirements and their relevance to the Technology and Professional Services categories
- Experience in leading diverse, global, in-direct teams through complex procurement processes
- Experience with Ariba and SAP
Qualifications for this position are:
- A Bachelor’s degree in business/commerce, Technology, Law or Procurement; and/or MCIPS qualified
