About the role:
Reporting to the Head of Global Sourcing, the will play a key role in developing and delivering Bunnings’ merchandise strategy. This role is responsible for optimising and leading the execution of the strategy for the end-to-end sourcing operations.
You will lead a team of Product Managers to partner with each Business group to assess, plan and work towards achieving strategic sourcing goals.
What's involved:
Work with the PL team, Buyers and Sourcing Managers to understand new technologies and customer needs to develop, brief and approve new ranges and product innovation
Develop ranging strategy to create innovation in products and ranges through Private label brand management
Lead the sourcing and range tender process to secure worldclass manufacturing partners and build strong supplier relationships
Build capability across the team to deliver against the company and Global Sourcing strategic plan
Who we’re looking for:
Our ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of international sourcing capabilities and production standards, combined with global logistics and shipping experience to optimise product range costs and service standards.
You will possess strong commercial acumen and a strategic mindset, being able to recommend innovative opportunities that will enhance value for Bunnings.
You’ll need:
Significant demonstrated experience in senior Buying or Sourcing leadership role
Demonstrated coaching and leadership skills with proven experience building team capability
Knowledge of product development and quality approvals
Experience with cost tender process management
A high level of attention to detail with strong planning, organisation and prioritisation skills
Tertiary qualification in Marketing / Commerce / Economics or related field (preferred)
