Role Type: Full time, secondment roles availableNote: this role has multiple openings.As a Category Contract Expert/Category Manager, you will be responsible for understanding the key success factors and underlaying value levers established through the sourcing teams to drive both performance and value together with the Contract Owners, and Suppliers for assigned contract/vendor portfolioIn this role, you will provide commercial support, advice and insights on the assigned contracts in their category, which may include establishing and conducting ongoing governance of assigned contracts/MSAs (Master Service Agreements) and ensuring commercial contract obligations are met to sustain, protect, and uplift value from the negotiated contracts. The team will also bring balance between delivering value in commercial arrangements and managing commercial risk exposure.Role accountabilitiesThis role is accountable for:
- Provide ongoing commercial advice on the execution requirements of a Master Services Agreement and support the development commercial training specific to the key strategic suppliers
- Proactive administration and management of strategic contracts inclusive of KPI's reporting, spend analytics, identification of scope creep and off-contract spend
- Support and coach suppliers and contract owners/OCMs to optimize supplier performance within the contract terms and help support additional value through improvement initiatives
- Assists Category Leads/Management to manage portfolio risks and governance requirements
- Manage contract/scope variations and provide advice on disputes and claims, support dispute resolution for high value/high risk Contracts
- Execution of excellence across Procurement accountabilities including operational and commercial Procurement KRA's and Contract Management Framework with a focus on end-to-end contract management including contract mobilization and handover to Operational Contract Owners and rectify non performances to contract
- Keep abreast of market and supplier advancements, market dynamics, manage spend analysis to identify opportunities
- Pursue commercial excellence through continuous improvement to help achieve procurement and business targets and demand savings opportunities
- Works collaboratively across Procurement and Business to support management of high value/high risk contracts to preserve, maintain and uplift value and manage any performance risks
- Support business on supplier relationship management activities for 'category leading' suppliers
- High level of commercial acumen and strong negotiations skills
- Experienced in agile methodologies
- Solid understanding of how to manage risk and demonstrate project procurement disciplines
- Strategic thinker to problem solves within highly complex and ambiguous situations
- Strong communicator, stakeholder and relationship management
