About the Role:
Are you detail-oriented and passionate about finance? Join our team at Eagle Lighting as an Accounts Officer! Reporting to Finance Manager, this role will support our finance team by ensuring the effective and efficient processing of accounting data and information. You will be the friendly and readily available point of contact for any finance-related inquiries from both internal and external customers, responding in a timely and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Entry:
- Ensure the timely and accurate entry of account information into the system.
- Processing and Reconciliation:
- Reconcile bank statements and financial information to ensure accuracy.
- Perform inter-company reconciliations to ensure consistency across accounts.
- Process employee expense claims, including transactions made with VISA cards.
- Conduct GST/BAS reconciliations to comply with tax regulations.
- Handle Accounts Payable (AP) invoice processing efficiently.
- Perform Accounts Receivable (AR) reconciliations to track outstanding payments.
- Process General Ledger journal entries accurately.
- Maintain records of fixed assets and ensure their proper maintenance.
- Raise non-sales invoices for various transactions.
- Administration:
- Provide assistance to the finance team and other departments as required.
- Produce ad hoc reports to support decision-making processes.
Selection Criteria:
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in accounting support roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Strong data entry and processing skills, particularly in relation to AP/AR functions.
- Experience with accounting software, preferably ERP systems like Dynamics AX/SAP.

- Maintains confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism while working effectively in team and independent environments.
- Flexible and proactive with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, proficiency in reconciliation, and meeting deadlines.
- Numerate with sound computer skills, organized, and adept at building interpersonal relationships.
- Possesses a solid understanding of accounting principles.
