About the Role
- To deliver effective support to the hospitality function within the care home, including catering, cleaning and laundry
- Use your fantastic food services and cleaning skills in a role where you really can make a difference by providing our residents with an empathetic and personal approach.
About you
- Previous catering / food service or cleaning experience preferred but not essential.
- You will be a team player and someone who enjoys interacting with people and giving back to our most vulnerable.
Duties
- Maintain legislated workplace health and safety, quality and hygiene standards
- Complete required documentation and reporting
- Respond to residents’ queries and requests
- Laundry duties include loading washers & dryers, sort linen, hang, fold, wrap or iron linen
- Catering / food services duties include assisting with basic food prep, provide meals and snacks, clear dining areas and dishwashing
- Cleaning duties include general cleaning; mopping, vacuuming, and waste collection in the residents’ rooms, bathrooms, communal and living areas
Skills and Experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Cleaning or catering experience preferred but not essential
- Flexible availability for a variety of shifts throughout the week
- You will have an understanding of work health, safety and hygiene practices and the ability to work unsupervised.
