-You can view and print these PDF attachments by downloading .This is a permanent, full time vacancy.Have you always been interested to see what the Pilbara is like?Wanting a sea change?Karratha is the gateway to the marine-life rich Dampier Archipelago, the world's most prolific prehistoric rock engraving site, Karijini's four billion year old adventure playground and Millstream's Chichester National Park.ABOUT THE ROLERoebourne Regional Prison is located approximately 1600km to the north of Perth, in the Pilbara region and is situated a short 30-minute drive north of Karratha.The Prison services a mainly indigenous population from towns and police lockups locally and throughout the Pilbara and Kimberley regions. The Prison acts as a receival centre for the region with long term accommodation for medium/minimum security male and female prisoners. It has a holding capacity for maximum security prisoners and acts as an assessment/transit prison for the Pilbara and Kimberley regions.The Catering Relief Instructor will provide relief assistance to manage, organise and control aspects of, and operate in, the kitchens, food processing and bakery industries, to maintain routine of the area while an officer is absent and/or on leave, to support prison operations. The position provides on the job instruction, accredited training and supervision to prisoners who work in this area.The position holds a supervisory role over other staff in this area.BENEFITS AND OPPORTUNITIES

  • Certificate III in Hospitality (with Commercial Cookery or Catering or Kitchen Operations speciality) and/or
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and/or
  • Certificate III in Catering Operations
Special requirements, licenses and accreditations
  • Be willing to undertake training applicable to the role though the Department’s Training Academy.
  • Be willing to undertake skill set(s) and vocational competencies to meet industry standards as trainers and/or assessors (if applicable).
  • Possess a current valid manual class “C” motor vehicle driving licence.
