About the role
South West Healthcare (SWH) is seeking a number of enthusiastic and motivated team members to join our Food Services Department.
Both position's will be assisting with tasks such as but not limited to; the plating, presentation and distribution of meals; the issuing of water/fluid jugs to patients; transportation of food trolleys; stocking of ward areas with food service supplies; washing and cleaning of equipment and items related to the distribution of food or beverages to patients. The role may also extend to service in our onsite cafés.
The Catering Services Assistant role requires working a rotating roster, including weekends and core shifts between 6:30am and 7:15 pm.
Position Overview
- A Permanent, Part Time position (38 hours per fortnight)
- 6-month fixed term, Part time opportunity (36 hours per fortnight)
What you bring
- The successful applicants must be able to work as part of an effective team, have excellent verbal communication and time management skills.
- It would be advantageous but not essential to have customer service experience in a café environment or similar, and some formal Barista training or qualification.
- Holding a certificate HLTFS207C ‘Follow basic food safety practices or equivalent would be beneficial, but not compulsory for this position.
