Lynden Aged Care is a not-for-profit aged care facility located in the serene neighborhood of Camberwell. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being. With 102 beds and 6 independent living units, we aim to create a warm and friendly environment for our residents to call home.
We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Catering Services Assistants in the kitchen. These are permanent part-time and casual positions offering an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in food preparation and service in the kitchen and cafe areas.
- Ensuring the dining areas and kitchenettes are clean, tidy, and presentable for residents and visitors.
- Assisting with setting up dining tables and maintaining a pleasant dining atmosphere.
- Adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards.
- Working cooperatively with the kitchen and cafe team to deliver high-quality Catering Services.
- Providing excellent customer service to residents and their families.
Requirements:
- Previous experience within an aged care facility is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with residents, staff, and visitors effectively.
- Strong team player, capable of collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals.
- Current Food Handling Certificate is required.
