THE OPPORTUNITY
This role offers a unique opportunity to create exceptional tourism experiences through top-notch customer service, hospitality, and memorable tour experiences for all visitors to the Wellington Caves. As a part of this role, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the Wellington Caves Complex to the highest standards, guaranteeing both operational efficiency and long-term financial sustainability.
DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Present interactive engaging guided tours of the Wellington Caves as scripted in a friendly and inclusive manner
- Ensure the site and Caves are presented at the highest quality
- Provide a quality cafe experience in service delivery of products offered through the Kiosk and/or Cafe
- Ensure transactions are processed correctly and a receipt is produced and returned to the customer with correct change
- Opportunity to promote conservation and educate visitors on the history of the region

You thrive on providing high levels of customer service and hospitality, working as part of the team to provide an outstanding tourism experience. You are knowledgeable, engaging and enthusiastic about conservation and the history of the region. You enjoy engaging with a wide range of visitors to the complex and have excellent communication skills. Additionally, you value working within a challenging, flexible and diverse role.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE
- Current Working with Children Check or able to obtain
- Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain
- Moderate computer skills and competency in the use of Microsoft based software packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Public speaking capability and/or previous Tour Guiding experience
- Ability to demonstrate a commitment and understanding to providing quality customer service
