The role
A seat in the Senior Leadership Team team, reporting to the CEO. The Chief Clinical Governance Officer will manage Clinical Governance for the organisation and work with multiple stakeholders to achieve quality outcomes that meet the clinical compliance objectives for the aged care and retirement living services of JMV.
You will oversee Clinical Governance processes, develop and implement policies and procedures, and provide leadership in maintaining regulatory compliance and best practices at JMV.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement Clinical Governance frameworks to ensure the provision of safe, effective, and person-centred care to residents.
- Lead the development, review, and update of clinical policies, procedures, and guidelines in alignment with legislative requirements and industry standards.
- Monitor and evaluate clinical practices and outcomes to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance quality of care.
- Provide leadership and support to clinical staff in maintaining professional standards, promoting continuous learning, and fostering a culture of excellence.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to assess compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and accreditation criteria.
- Lead investigations into adverse events, incidents, and complaints, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence and improve service delivery.
- Stay abreast of developments in aged care policy, research, and technology, and incorporate evidence-based practices into Clinical Governance strategies.
- Function as a key Clinical Governance strategic adviser at the board level.
Who we are looking for
- Demonstrated effective leadership skills, including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving and negotiation.
- Demonstrated success in the development, implementation and evaluation of policies, procedures and systems related to the provision of quality services.
- Sound knowledge of compliance processes, risk management and continuous quality improvement principles.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, including Clinical Governance reports and board reports.
- A solid understanding of aged care, accreditation and retirement living industry.
- Can demonstrate industry recognised levels of expertise and experience in operational management, quality and Clinical Governance.
