An Eligibility List (E-List) and Talent Pool for roles within Patient Services (Gosford Hospital) will also be created from this recruitment. Patient Services has a wide range of positions available with varied hours of service delivery including Monday to Friday roster patterns, Monday – Sunday roster patterns and 24/7 roster patterns. Roles include ED Administration Officers, Medical Department Secretaries, Outpatient Clinic Officers, and Clinical Support Officers. The Eligibility List created from this recruitment episode will assist in filling current and future permanent, temporary, full-time, part-time and casual positions.    

The Central Coast Local Health District is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Administration Officer Level 3 to join our friendly and efficient Admissions team at Gosford Hospital on a permanent part time basis. This front-line position requires exceptional interaction with patients, making strong communication skills essential. 

As a Patient Services Administration Officer, you will enjoy delivering high level customer service to our patients and community members and assist patients on their admission.  You will ensure accurate data entry and maintain patient records and engage in private health insurance discussions with patients to enhance hospital own source revenue.

About You  

  • You have strong customer service skills and experience.
  • You have a high level of written and oral communication skills.
  • You have experience working within a team environment.
  • You are available to work across 7 days (including weekends and public holidays).

You will be working in the Admissions Department at Gosford Hospital.
