Become a vital part of our caring team at Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) in Wyong as a Children & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) Mental Health Clinician, impacting the lives of children and adolescents who require support. Your expertise will drive positive changes, fostering brighter futures and lasting transformations for young individuals in need.

About You  

  •        You will have at minimum a tertiary qualification in Psychology, Occupational Therapy with AHPRA registration, or Counselling/Community Welfare, with three years post graduate experience. Alternatively, you will hold a Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Psychology with endorsement to practice with AHPRA, Or a tertiary qualification in Nursing with Division 1 AHPRA registration with relevant postgraduate qualifications and 3 years experienced working in a relevant clinical area proceeding these studies. 
  •        It is imperative that you possess Postgraduate experience working within a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service or Mental Health Service. 
  •        You have demonstrated knowledge of working within a crisis intervention model of care. 
  •        You demonstrate knowledge of, and sensitivity to, the Mental Health needs of young people (5-18 years) and their families.

This position is graded for the following: 
  • Occupational Therapist Level 3 
  • Clinical Psychologist 
  • Senior Psychologist 
  • Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 
  • Social Worker Level 3 
  • Welfare Officer Level 3 
  • Counsellor Level 3 
  • Clinical Midwife Specialist Grade 2 

Where You’ll Be Working

The service provides assertive outreach and intensive case management, specifically aimed at engaging young people aged 5 - 18 years experiencing moderate to severe Mental Health problems/disorders.

As a CAMHS Mental Health Clinician, you will be responsible for providing professional clinical services to young people and their families and evidence based individual therapy with a recovery focus.

You will ensure families and carers have input into assessments, care plans and reviews where appropriate alongside liaising with relevant agencies and actively participating in case conferences and team meetings concerning the care of young people and support families.
