An exciting opportunity is available for a Social Worker Level 1-2 in our Inpatient Services at Woy Woy Hospital. This role allows you to demonstrate your expertise and significantly impact the services provided to the Central Coast Community.
About You
- You have tertiary qualifications in Social Work, with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) (overseas qualifications must supply the AASW Overseas Assessment number).
- You have a well-developed understanding the psychosocial issues that arise for patients and their families during chronic and acute illness and trauma. Preferably demonstrated social work experience in the clinical specialty area where applicable.
- You have demonstrated ability to effectively time manage, prioritise work, have a flexible approach to clinical and non-clinical demands and manage and respond to stressful situations.
As a Social Worker in these units, you will provide expert social work services to patients and their families or carers, helping to alleviate the adverse effects of illness and hospital stays.
This part-time role offers 20 hours per week, with flexible days and hours negotiable with the Hiring Manager. Social Workers within CCLHD may need to work rostered weekends and public holidays as requested by the service manager. This position may also require work at acute sites throughout the CCLHD based on service needs and participation in an On Call Social Work Service.
