The Role:

We are currently seeking a Cellar Door Manager to oversee daily operations and maintain high standards of Cellar Door service to our visitors. You will have exceptional customer service skills, strong experience in managing a team possess problem-solving skills and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and cleanliness. You will be involved in training new and existing employees to maintain high standards of service, and exceptional levels of product knowledge. 

The Cellar Door Manager will need to be able to adapt to different requirements of the business and be a versatile, well-rounded manager. You will ensure consistent, impeccable hospitality from the Cellar Door sales staff, and have input into strategic planning decisions for the business to help improve profitability, offering and standards of service in the venue along with implementing and maintaining clear reporting systems for the business. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations;
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, addressing concerns, and resolving complaints in a timely manner;
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and attention to detail throughout the establishment;
  • Utilise point-of-sale systems to process transactions, manage inventory, and ensure ongoing maintenance of new product additions and pricing;
  • Train new employees and maintain standards of service through ongoing training and development;
  • Monitor and manage food ordering systems, ensuring adequate supplies are available and minimising waste;
  • Collaborate with other supervisors and management to implement new policies and procedures as needed, working to create an efficient and seamless customer service experience between our hospitality and wine-tasting sections.

Weekend work availability is essential and the ability to work flexible hours as required for special events.

What we are looking for:

To be successful, you will have:

  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate;
  • A passion for wine with a strong wine knowledge base;
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospitality or customer service role;
  • A friendly and engaging personality with excellent communication skills;
  • Polished presentation and grooming standards;
  • Full working rights within Australia
  • A WSET Level 2 qualification (desirable);
  • Working knowledge of hospitality point-of-sale systems;
  • High level of attention to detail and cleanliness;
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to manage staff, including scheduling, training, and maintaining service standards;
  • Experience with food ordering systems and inventory management;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and the occasional evening shifts required for special events.
