Randstad have partnered with a renowned organisation known for delivering major construction projects both domestically and internationally. With a stellar reputation and strong client relationships, this industry leader specialises in projects set in remote locations, often under strict quality and completion deadlines.
With over $150 million worth of projects currently in progress and an anticipated increase in new projects for 2024, this organisation is experiencing rapid growth. Due to their continued success, we are seeking an experienced Project Director to join the team to lead the delivery of a $100m project. Their client is an Australian government agency and the project will be built in a remote location. Initially this role will be based in NSW for 12 months through the design phase, it will then be required to relocate to an island in the South Pacific for a period of 3 years to complete the project. Responsibilities
Project Management : Lead project delivery to meet revenue targets and schedules. Report on all project aspects to senior management and clients.
Development and Planning : Create and update project programmes, procurement plans, and cash flow forecasts for efficient execution.
Resource Management : Evaluate and manage supply and subcontractor packages, including price evaluations and purchase orders.
Quality and Risk Management : Implement the Integrated Testing and Commissioning Plan (ITP) and develop risk mitigation strategies.
Communication and Compliance : Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and document standards. Handle RFIs, notices, and invoice approvals.
Experienced Required
Extensive Project Management Experience : History of leading build projects valued over $80 million AUD.
Senior Project Management Expertise : Over two years in a senior project management role, with at least a decade of experience in the construction industry.
Leadership Skills : Exceptional ability to develop and motivate teams, ensuring high performance and engagement.
Risk Management and Compliance : In-depth understanding of risk management, quality control, and adherence to regulatory standards.
Financial and Resource Management : Demonstrated proficiency in managing budgets, allocating resources efficiently, and overseeing contract management.
Have managed projects from the design phase through to completion and handover
Modular build experience would be highly desirable
