About the role
The Cellar Hand at Barossa works as part of a team to carry out cellar operations and ensure quality wine production. You will safely and efficiently perform all aspects of wine production including but not limited to cellar operations, housekeeping and sanitation.
This role is offered on a full time basis.
Other key accountabilities include:
- Follow directions as provided by the Cellar Manager and winemakers
- Carry out cellar operations tasks as assigned:
- Vintage operations including crushing, pressing, juice additions and fermentation
- Cellar operations including wine transfers, blending, filtration and clarifying
- Record data on log sheets or operations notes
- Maintain general winery cleanliness and hygiene
It is essential that you are a reliable team player with a mature approach. We expect that you will be able to demonstrate competence in a broad range of cellar operations, gained through at least two years’ experience in a small/medium winery. A forklift licence (or willingness to obtain) is highly desirable, and an MR truck licence will be viewed favourably.
