Job Description:
As the Centre Director, you will play a pivotal role in managing the daily operations of our 60-place childcare facility. You will lead a team of educators and support staff to create a welcoming and educational environment where children can explore, develop, and prepare for their lifelong learning journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Provide strong leadership to the team, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including the National Quality Framework (NQF) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
- Curriculum: Oversee the development and implementation of a stimulating, play-based educational program.
- Staff Management: Recruit, train, and mentor staff members to ensure they provide the best care and education.
- Parent Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents and families, addressing their needs and concerns.
- Financial Management: Manage the budget, fee collection, and financial aspects of the centre.
- Health and Safety: Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for children and staff.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement strategies for ongoing quality improvement and professional development.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent).
- Current First Aid, CPR, and Anaphylaxis training.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role within a childcare centre.
- Strong understanding of the National Quality Standards (NQS) and EYLF.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
